  • Hook - 9671 - size 12
  • Weight - .015 wire
  • Tail - brown or black hackle
  • Rib - reddish copper wire
  • Body - dubbing - brown with flash, rough and spiky
  • Legs - black biots
  • Shell back - copper brown goose feather
  • Thorax - dk. olive dub

1. Thread on - Weight hook wrapping tightly the length of the shaft
    - Overwrap with thread building up the thorax a little
2. Tie in tail and rib.
3. Dub up thickly to the thorax, teasing out dubbing. We want a wide body.
4.  3-4 wraps of rib up to thorax and tie off.
5. 1 leg on each side
6. Tie in shell back.
7. Dub thorax
8. Second legs one eye width back from eye.
9.  Bring shell back over.
10. Tie off and trim bottom.
