Teddys Tackle Fly Fishing and Fly Tying Supply
These patterns have been developed locally for Vancouver Island and interior British Columbia fishing. We have tied and fished most of these patterns ourselves.  Join our Wednesday evening fly tying sessions from 7:00 - 9:00 and try some of these out with us!
Dries and Emergers
Bumblebee 7/6/2014
Tim Shepherd very kindly gave me this pattern after outfishing me badly. It works well all summer on Vancouver Island lakes and especially in late August and September when yellow jacket wasps are everywhere.
Foam Ants 7/6/2014
Ted's Fun With Foam
Foam Beetle 9/29/2018
Foam Termite 7/6/2014
This is pattern is originally from Mike Nadeau. It is a dynamite dry fly from late August to late October when wood termites are active.
Mini Hot 7/6/2014
This fly comes from Frank Norris and is his version of a pattern from the "Flyfishing and Tying Journal" magazine. Frank describes this as a cross between an Elk Hair Caddis and a Stimulator. The Mini Hot has been catching fish for us this Fall on Vancouver Island lakes.
Muskrat Emerger 7/8/2014
Another great fly from Ken Thorne. Muskrat right off the hide is easy to apply and looks good and buggy. I use this whenever a pattern calls for grey dubbing.
Stimulator 7/8/2014
Devina's version with legs and wing
Ted's Emerger 10/27/2014
This emerger is fast and easy to tie. It has been very productive for us this Spring in local lakes fished on an intermediate line.
